2010: Storms, Tours and The Osments...
Posted on January 31, 2010 with 0 commentsHello everyone!
I'd like to start by saying happy birthday to my Mum, since it is her birthday today. So Mum, in front of 100,000 people - Happy Birthday :)
For the rest of you: Welcome to the new decade! It's belated, but this is the letter for January. The good news is you'll only have two weeks to wait for the next one. More good news is, I have 2 new music videos for you, and the OFFICIAL 2010 TOUR SCHEDULE is now up, so you can see exactly when I am coming to your town!
But first, and most importantly: THE PAY IT FORWARD PROJECT
THE FOX ELIPSUS PAY IT FORWARD PROJECT
I was touched by this movie when I saw it a few years ago, and so since I am writing to 100,000 people today, I would like to take this opportunity to use that sort of massive outreach to try and do something positive. Hopefully it will work, to some degree. This month I would like to focus on giving. I'd like to begin the Fox Elipsus Pay It Forward Project.
I am giving away 5 sets of my CDs to those who really want them but cannot afford them. To learn more about my project, and how you can receive the CDs, please read this: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=313276326054
In return, I would like those 5 people that receive them - and ALL of the rest of you - to embrace my PAY IT FORWARD project, and try and be a part of it. In order to embrace it, you have to do 5 wonderful, selfless, generous things, during the coming weeks or months, and tell the 5 recipients of your generosity, that they must "pay it forward" and do 5 great deeds of their own. Imagine if everyone reading this right now decided to do 5 wonderful things to help people they know, or even complete strangers. Then imagine if each of them helped another five... just imagine.
Thank you for embracing and accepting my Pay It Forward Project, and thank you for keeping me alive! :)
Here is something you can ALL do. One of the worst earthquakes in modern times just hit Haiti, and they need your help. Whether you can send $5 or $5,000, every little helps. Please be compassionate, and please give if you possibly can:
Presidents Clinton and Bush teamed up to spearhead efforts to rebuild Haiti. To make a donation to the Clinton Bush Haiti fund, text "HAITI" to "90999," and $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross. To donate online, go to http://www.clintonbushhaitifund.org - Money will go to basic needs -- such as food, water, shelter, and first-aid supplies -- as well as long-term support. The money will go directly to relief efforts in Haiti. Or call 1-800-Red-Cross.
I love all of you, and this will be just one of many projects that I will work on as my music reaches more and more people, in order to try and make a positive difference in any way I can, and to use these chances to be heard, through my wonderful growing fan base, to do positive things.
Also, I heard that chicks dig philanthropists, so...
TOUR SCHEDULE
My official 2010 Tour Schedule has been announced! I will be visiting every state of the USA except Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico* :) I will be visiting most of Canada!
Click here to see the full schedule!
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=313331726054
Remember, I book all of these shows myself, and I sleep in my car (often) when on the road, and sometimes go without eating. If you know of a place where I should play when I come to your town, or if you would like to offer shelter, a motel room, a meal, or other forms of support, please e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM
*I have nothing against Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Believe me, I'd come if I could. The first is too far and cold for my lovely little car, and the latter two don't have bridges to the mainland yet. But I love you all anyway :)

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS
This month we have two powerful new fan videos. A strong synth-rock track from Changing History about the environment and the future of our planet... and a heartbreaking love ballad that is one of the loneliest songs I've written... thank you to my very special fan who made both of these :)
THE COMING STORM - the environment anthem (from Changing History album)
starring Denns Quaid.
