FOX ELIPSUS...: NEWSLETTERS...

Only We Can Set Us Free...

Posted on November 22, 2009

Hi :)

People sometimes ask me why I do this, how I started. I don't do this to make music and see the world, alone. That's fun but those are just perks. They're not the underlying factors. Do what you love? Yes, I agree. But that's not what started this, for me. I do this because I want to make a difference. I want to stand up for the things that are underrepresented in our music and our culture. Equality, unity, peace, animals, and the environment. I do this because I have no other choice. I have to try, and convince as many people as humanly possible, to try along with me. So many people died for peace, and it's the least I can do to live for it... and sing for it. Because when I was young, I had a dream, and I'm still holding on to what I believe: all of the people controlling our own destiny... all of us equal, in a world that's peaceful.

And that is what my brand new, most ambitious, most important, and somewhat controversial new music video is all about. We also have a Thanksgiving special offer (only available until Thursday), and we have lots and lots of photos of me (I have no idea why you would want to see such a thing) for you to vote on, to decide which pix will be used on my websites and on my 3rd album! And we have a riddle... a "mythtery"... towards the end of this November newsletter.

THE CONTROVERSIAL NEW MUSIC VIDEO:
Whatever you believe, I hope this video makes you yearn for unity and dream of peace. This is an epic video designed by myself and a very close friend, for the song "Set Us Free", the first track on my 2009 double CD "Momentum" and possibly the most important song I've written. This is not a song for Democrats. It is not a song for Republicans. It is not a song for Socialists. It is not a song for Capitalists. It is a song for the Human Race. A song for the world. For all people. A song for peace, and about the dream of people coming together, and the power of people when we do. If you disagree with one line, or one scene, or one "hero", don't let that detract from the message: we *all* want peace, and only we can make it happen. Together. Only we can set us free.

Watch it for free, here. Please rate it and comment on it.
SET US FREE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kVszDLcUFXU

I hope you love it. :) If you love it, please buy the CD to help support the music, for only $10 at http://www.elipsus.net
Remember, it's not about which parts you don't agree with. It's about what you do agree with. Not where we part, but what we share. Don't allow yourself to be conditioned to pick flaws and faults in the goodness you see. Instead, embrace the similarities, the parts you agree with, the parts that inspire you, and the fact that we all have so many fundamental things in common, despite any differences we may have. It's a good thing to celebrate our differences. It is a bad thing to clash over them. But it is an even better thing to celebrate what we have in common: love... family... soul... hopes... dreams... humanity. And one of the things we all have in common is that we all want peace. All of us. And if we all want it, then we all can make it happen.

Help spread these sorts of peaceful and powerful messages around the world, and join my energetic, wonderful, warm, close-knit promotional team. 15 minutes a month is the minimum contribution (anyone can handle that!)... join us :) e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM for more details.

Remember to keep the fan base growing, go tohttp://www.facebook.com/foxelipsus - click "become a fan" - then "suggest to friends" - then select all your friends - then "send invitations". That is by far the best way for us to turn 50,000 fans into 60,000 and then into 70,000. That is another pro-active way to spread this music of peace.

THANKSGIVING SPECIAL OFFER:

Since it's Thanksgiving, I'd also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to my promotional team for keeping my fan base growing and spreading this music of peace, working tirelessly day in and day out... :) and I hope every one of you knows how much you mean to me. :) And I would also like to thank all of my wonderful fans for listening and for buying my CDs to keep me going. This year has been incredible thanks to all of you! :)

THE RIDDLE
Win a copy of "Momentum"! If you are one of the first 10 people to answer this riddle, you will be entered into a competition prize drawing. One of you will receive a signed copy of "Momentum" for free! E-mail your entries to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM with the subject title "riddle".

Here it is:

It is the middle of winter. There are two doors. One door leads to Liverpool, England (home of the world's best football team). The other leads to Liverpool, NY - a suburb of Syracuse - in a blizzard (lake effect snow coming down from Ontario). You definitely want to go to Liverpool, England and not end up frozen and snowed-in in suburbia. But you don't know which door is which. Barack Obama stands in front of one door, and George W Bush stands in front of the other. You know that one of them always lies, and one of them always tells the truth, but you don't know which it is, and there is no way to find out. You are allowed ONE question and you can only ask ONE politician - either Bush or Obama. You must get to Liverpool, England, and must avoid Liverpool, NY at all costs. But you don't know which door is which. And you have to find out. Remember, one of them ALWAYS lies, but one of them ALWAYS tells the truth, and you have no way of knowing which is which.

WHAT QUESTION DO YOU ASK AND WHO DO YOU ASK?

There is only one correct answer. Good luck! E-mail your entries to elipsus@gmail.com with subject "riddle"

NEXT MONTH

Another riddle competition!
Another music video!
The photo-vote finale!

I love all of you, and never stop believing that through peace and unity, we might be able to turn things around before it's too late.

With love
Fox
