FOX ELIPSUS...: NEWSLETTERS...

Snow In Africa...

Posted on December 20, 2009 with 0 comments

Hi :)

For the holidays, I have 2 brand new music videos for you, the final photo-vote, and another riddle competition! Happy Holidays to all of you!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS! TWO NEW VIDEOS!

Two brand new music videos for you in this freezin' season. One of them is definitely the funniest Fox video you're likely to see... the other is one of the more serious videos. This is the last Newsletter of the decade!

XMAS SPECIAL OFFER!

Don't forget that this week is the last week of the Xmas special offer. If you buy either (or both) of my CDs for Xmas, for yourself or anyone else, they will come signed and personalized to you! This is the last offer of this sort until the tour begins, and then you'll only be able to get them signed at the shows... if you'd like to help support the music and buy my albums for Xmas, go to http://www.elipsus.net and use PayPal or Credit or Debit to buy them for $10 each. If you'd prefer to pay by mail (cash/check/money order), e-mail ELIPSUS@GMAIl.COM to order.

NEW MUSIC VIDEOS!

RAP TO THE FUTURE

Yes, there is now a video for my most outspoken, ridiculous song. I think some of you guys are going to really, really like this one. Please watch it, rate it, comment it here:

LIVING IN LUXURY

The latest vid from the 2007 "Changing History" album, LIL is a sobering look at the world we live in and the way our actions affect nations we may not have even heard of, very directly and very negatively. Please watch, rate and comment:

UNREQUITED
If you are feeling romantic this xmas, listen to my most popular love song, "Unrequited" - both video versions of this song are now back online, so you can bookmark your favourite, or you can check both out, and decide which you like better:
Leonardo DiCaprio: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbhg39_fox-elipsus-unrequited_music
Robert Pattinson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQqq2eKNARg

See what I did there? I just created "Team Jack" versus "Team Edward"! How original!

SET US FREE
Yes, I know you saw this one last month, but I think you'll agree, it's worth seeing again. We're entering a new decade now, and it's vital that we start thinking about ways to come together and make things better for our future generations, before it's too late. My most important video:

There are now two places to watch my music videos. Most of the official videos are on my official Fox Elipsus YouTube channel. But there is now also the official Fox Elipsus DailyMotion, which contains all the videos you can't see on YouTube - so far Rap To The Future and Unrequited (Leo version) are the only two on there. But bookmark them!

SHARE THE LOVE!

Because the tour is over, and I'm stuck in the studio, it's hard to reach more people with my music and the fan numbers have slowed dramatically. We're just over 59,000 right now. But you can help them continue to rise, and it's really really easy. All you have to do is go tohttp://www.facebook.com/FoxElipsus and then click "suggest to friends" - then select all of your friends, and "send invitations." Not only will you help the Fox Elipsus fan numbers shoot past 60,000 before New Year, but you'll also introduce all of my peaceful and heartfelt songs to an entirely new audience. There is almost no better way to spread songs of peace and love, than by telling all of your friends.

But there is one better way: my promo team needs your help :) We spend a lot of time each week working on getting the music out there, and reaching new fans with my songs. It's a lot of fun and we're a very warm and friendly group. We also have a trivia quiz for the whole team every Sunday night which is tons of fun. If you'd like to join the team, find out more, or even just try the trivia quiz, e-mail me directly at elipsus@gmail.com

THE FINAL PHOTO VOTE!

Will begin three days from the date of this newsletter, this coming Wed Dec 23, at 8pm Eastern.
You will be able to rate and rank your favourite pictures from all of the winners of the first 5 rounds, and your votes will determine which photo will be (a) the cover of my new album, (b) in the CD booklet for my new album, and (c) going on my official websites!
From Wed, you can find the vote here:

WHAT'S GOING ON?!

It's freezing up here, and I'm huddled inside under a heat blanket, making my 3rd album and looking forward to touring half of the western world when the weather starts picking up in the Spring. I hope I get to meet all of you that are out there, reading... and those of you that already met me this year or last, I hope to see you again!

It's been an incredible year, better than I imagined... thousands of CD sales (which combined with the donations, managed to keep me alive and making music)... almost 60,000 fans now on facebook (and who knows how many, not on facebook!)... and a real belief that the next decade, which begins in a few weeks, could be the defining decade for my music career. I hope so. We shall see. I believe that in 10 years I'll still be doing this, and a few more people will be reading my newsletters... but only time will tell.

If it wasn't for my promoters, I would never have come this far, and this Xmas I'd like to give thanks, and I'd like all of my fans to give thanks too, to these wonderful people that have worked and rallied voluntarily, from the first day of the year until now, to really make this year special. There are too many of you to name, but every one of you has been absolutely amazing this year, and you should be truly proud of yourselves.

I do still need your charity, more than ever. With a new record on the way, that means equipment, marketing and production costs, followed by an ambitious tour that begins in the Spring. If you'd like to help by making a donation, they are welcome and extremely helpful. You can do it through paypal to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM or you can e-mail me there to ask how you can send something in other ways, and help in other ways. My music is 100% supported by the fans. There are no labels, no managers, no paid promoters, and it really is a poverty line existence for the time being - and I am okay with that.

THE RIDDLE

WIN a copy of Momentum, signed! The winner of last month's riddle was:
Randy Lee!

This month, the first 10 correct answers will be put into a hat. The winner receives a free signed copy of my latest double CD "Momentum"...

Well to start with... North Dakota should not be in the same country as Warsaw. Do you agree? Good. Then do something about it. You can then reveal what you are at the end. If you can bear it, that is. James Bond's boss should replace the need to urinate, right from the start. Then you can plead the 5th, instead of having your A & R person finish things off for you. Now you're inside, or perhaps on the surface. What are you?

The answer is a 4 letter word. Send all entries with title "THE RIDDLE" to ELIPSUS@GMAIL.COM

NEXT MONTH!

"Pay It Forward"... Competition Winners... Full Tour Schedule Announced For 2010... and another New Music Video!

SNOW IN AFRICA...

I'm going to leave you with a word from Bob Geldof and a bunch of people with bad hair. I know sometimes I sound like Bob Geldof with my passionate pleas on behalf of the poor, but believe me, I'm proud to sound like that man. And he was right. There is no better time to think about the people that have nothing, than now, when some of us (not myself) are dropping extraordinary amounts of money on cards, lights, decorations, an abundance of food, gift bags (gift bags... really?), electronics, and presents aplenty, for the ones we love, and a few others, too. I hope you have an amazing holiday season, but do spare a thought for the other ones. Perhaps you can give just a little this coming year to the people of Africa that need it the most (watch my Living In Luxury video). Or even the less fortunate families in Europe and America, who are genuinely struggling to keep a roof over their heads. We can't do much individually, but not doing much is better than not doing anything at all.

But say a prayer... pray for the other ones...
At Xmas time it's hard, but when you're having fun...
There's a world outside your window, and it's a world of dread and fear...
Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears...
And the Xmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom...
Well tonight, thank God it's them instead of you...
And there won't be snow in Africa this Xmas time...
The greatest gift they'll get this year is life...

It really isn't that hard to Feed The World, you know. When it finally happens, we'll call it a miraculous accomplishment, but it really isn't a miracle. It's a crime that it hasn't happened yet. A lot of people blame the leaders of the various countries for this, but in truth, if everyone on earth wanted to make sure nobody on earth went hungry... I don't think they would go hungry. Humans can accomplish anything - we've already proven that so many times. And we have more than enough to go around, don't we.

I love all of you. And I hope you still believe we can change. I do! :) See you next decade! It's going to be our decade. Let's make it so!

With love always
Fox
